Privacy Policy

JJ-Workout is a local-first fitness app. Your workout data, templates, programs, body metrics, progress photos, and settings are stored on your device. The app does not require a separate JJ-Workout account or sign-in. JJ-Workout Elite is a monthly subscription billed through your Apple ID (see Terms of Use).

Data we collect

Workout logs, templates, programs, goals, achievements, and related settings you create in the app.
Optional body weight, measurements, body fat entries, and progress photos you add.
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Where data is stored

By default, everything stays in on-device storage on your iPhone.
If you export a backup (.jjbackup zip or JSON), you choose where that file is saved or shared.
We do not operate a cloud account or sync service for JJ-Workout.

Our website

The JJ-Workout iPhone app and our public website at jj-workout.vercel.app are separate. The app does not set browser cookies or run web analytics.

A bottom-right banner on every page of this website lets you Allow or Deny optional site analytics.
If you tap Allow, we load Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and improve the site. If you tap Deny, no analytics script is loaded.
Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage (key jj-showcase-consent) so the banner does not reappear on that device. We do not sync this preference to our servers. Your language choice (key jj-lang) is stored the same way.
Vercel Web Analytics is privacy-oriented: no third-party advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking. When enabled, page views are sent to Vercel. See Vercel’s Privacy Policy for how they process that data.

Subscriptions (JJ-Workout Elite)

Purchases and billing are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store.
We do not receive or store your payment card or bank details.
Apple may share subscription status (active, trial, expired) with the app so Elite access can be verified on your device. We do not operate our own subscription server.
Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone.

Optional permissions

Permission	When it is used
Location	Only while you use outdoor GPS running, to record distance and pace.
Apple Health	Only if you turn on Health sync in Profile. You may write workouts and read steps or related fitness data you authorize in the Health app. Revoke anytime in Settings → Health → Data Access.
Notifications	Optional, for rest timer alerts when you enable them.
Live Activities	Optional, for workout and rest timer status on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island when enabled.

Your choices

Export data: Profile → Export Backup (JSON).
Import a backup: Profile → Import Backup (JSON).
Delete all data on this device: Profile → Delete Account & Data. This removes local workouts, templates, programs, logs, goals, XP, and settings. There is no remote account to delete.

Children's privacy

JJ-Workout is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
